Seeing more questions about diamonds lately so here's the rundown.
What they are
THCa diamonds are crystallized THCa, usually testing somewhere between 95% and 99% pure. They look exactly like the name suggests: clear to slightly amber crystals, anywhere from sugar-grain size to chunky rocks.
They're made by extracting cannabis into a solution and letting the THCa slowly crystallize out of it, kind of like rock candy forming on a string. The crystals that form are nearly pure THCa. The liquid left over (the "sauce") holds most of the terpenes, which is why you'll often see "diamonds and sauce" sold together. Diamonds bring the potency, sauce brings the flavor.
Important: diamonds alone have almost no taste or smell
Pure THCa has no terpenes. If you dab a dry diamond by itself you get a clean but pretty flavorless hit. That's normal, not a sign of a bad product.
How people actually use them
A word of caution
Remember flower is usually 15 to 25% THCa. Diamonds are 95%+. That's four to six times the potency per puff, and a "normal sized" dab of diamonds is a lot more than most people need. If it's your first time with diamonds, take a small one and see where you land before going back for more.
And same rule as everything else in this hobby: check the COA. Diamonds should come with one just like flower does. The COA guide is pinned in Safety, Legal & Testing if you haven't read it.
Anyone here prefer diamonds over live resin or rosin? Curious what the concentrate crowd on here is into.

How people actually use them
- Dabbing - the standard way. Low temp is your friend, roughly 500 to 550F. High temp wastes potency and scorches whatever terps are present.
- Diamonds and sauce together - best of both, this is how most people dab them.
- Topping flower - crushing small pieces into a bowl or joint. Works fine, just expect it to hit noticeably harder than flower alone.
